Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy is written in plain language. If a translated version conflicts with the English version, the English version controls, subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law.

1. Provider and agreement

Smart Budget Manager is provided by Q99 Chaintech Ltd (company number 17220339), Suite 10843, 5 Brayford Square, London, United Kingdom, E1 0SG. These terms govern the website, applications and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Contact: [email protected].

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account. You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and devices, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

3. Service and licence

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the service for lawful personal, family or internal business finance management. The service is a record-keeping and planning tool; it does not provide banking, accounting, tax, investment, credit or other regulated financial advice.

4. Your data, encryption and recovery

You retain your rights in the content you enter. You permit us to process account metadata and encrypted payloads only as needed to operate the features you choose. You must keep your devices, credentials, encryption keys and recovery options safe. If all authorized devices and recovery material are lost, encrypted data may be impossible for either you or us to recover.

5. Sharing and user responsibilities

When you create or join a shared workspace, content and permissions may be visible to the members you authorize. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to add or share another person's information and for choosing appropriate permissions. Removing a member stops future authorized access but cannot recall copies that the member lawfully exported or previously received.

6. Acceptable use

You must not break the law; infringe privacy, intellectual-property or other rights; upload malicious code; probe, disrupt or bypass service security; access another person's account without permission; automate abusive traffic; reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it; or use the service to facilitate fraud, money laundering or other harmful activity.

7. App stores, paid features and refunds

Downloads, subscriptions or purchases made through an app store are also subject to that store's terms. Prices, billing periods and renewal terms will be shown before purchase. Cancellations and refunds are handled under applicable consumer law and the rules of the store that processed the payment. These terms do not limit mandatory cancellation, conformity or refund rights.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, secure, improve, add or retire features. If a change materially reduces a paid service, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and provide any remedy required by law.

9. Intellectual property

The service, software, branding and content supplied by us are owned by or licensed to Q99 Chaintech Ltd and are protected by intellectual-property law. No rights are granted except the limited licence in these terms. Feedback may be used to improve the service without identifying you or transferring ownership of your existing content.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a security threat, legal requirement, non-payment or material breach. We will give notice and an opportunity to remedy where appropriate. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, liability and dispute terms, remain effective.

11. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that rule, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, losses caused by your failure to secure devices or recovery material, or business losses arising from consumer use. Any further limitation applies only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of the country where you habitually live and may bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable law. Please contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a complaint.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for legal, security or service changes. We will publish the new date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes where required. Continuing to use the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where permitted by law; otherwise we will seek any consent the law requires.
